Continuing from the high point achieved by its
predecessor, IPVS 2011 was held between 11-13
November 2011 at the Gujarat University Exhibition
Hall, Ahmedabad, India. The show was inaugurated by
Mr. Rajiv Amin (President of IPMA) alongside with
Mr. Yagnesh Buch ( Deputy General Manager Marketing
KSB Pumps)The three events namely Pumps Expo, Valves
Expo, and Process Plants & Systems Expo held
concurrently addressed all issues of national and
global concern such as energy conservation, system
optimization, sealing systems, fugitive emission and
environmental control, ’smart’ controls for enhanced
reliability and safety etc, all in context of pumps,
valves, process plants and systems.
IPVS 2011 once again held its status of being the
prime event of the industry in India. There were
close to 100 top companies like KSB, Weir BDK , Roto
Pumps, Crompton & Greaves, Netzsch, L & T, Bell-o
Seal, Dover ,Fivebro to name just a few. Out of the
total exhibitors 20% were international companies
showcasing their product range to over 2000
serious-minded and focused visitors from India which
included visitor delegations from eminent corporate
houses such as BEML Ltd., DCNS., ESSAR ENERGY, GHCL
LTD, HINDUSTAN DORR-OLIVER LTD, ITT- Oil & Gas,
LINDE Engineering, NIRMA LTD., ONGC, OSWAL PROJECTS
DIVISION, RELIANCE INDUSTRIES LTD.,RIDDHI SIDDHI,
Sintex industries ltd. SUBHASRI PIGMENT P LTD.,
UNITED PHOSPHORUS LTD AND ZYDUS CADILA.
There were quite a few visitor delegations from
overseas too but mainly from Nigeria (Ministry of
water and Ministry of environment), Russia, Spain
and Japan. IPVS 2011 proved to be more focused and
more incisive than its earlier versions. This was
demonstrated by the overwhelming presence of quality
exhibitors and visitors. It has once again laid the
platform for the great boost to the Indian pump
industry.
The Indian pump manufacturers are on a high given
the strong upswing in fluid handling industries,
irrigation and urban infrastructure projects. With
IPVS becoming an international platform, Indian pump
manufacturers have an added advantage in knowing and
catering to the global market needs. Indian pump
manufacturers have proved themselves on the quality
front and the Indian pump industry is now on the
world map. Those who missed the opportunity to
benefit from IPVS 2011 can make good by confirming
their participation at the 6th staging scheduled for
14 – 16 December 2012 at Auto Cluster Exhibition
Centre, Pune, Maharashtra, India. |
